each of these quartz/crystal-shaped objects is approximately 1 inch by 1 to 2.5 inches and made of wood wrapped in vintage tracing paper.
the form for the casting the plaster landscape with the caverns that the crystals are to have been mined from is nearly ready, too.
for a proposed show @proofgallery a non-profit in south boston.
the first, a large-ish piece: loosely connected masses with multiple entrances as to parks… this is a detail (referance images here)
the second, a mid size piece: plaster/polystyrene quarry with wax mineral deposits, mining structures, and wood/paper quartz
there are bags and bags of this at work, and doubtful they’d miss any. and i’d be helping the environment.
