for a proposed show @proofgallery a non-profit in south boston.
the first, a large-ish piece: loosely connected masses with multiple entrances as to parks… this is a detail (referance images here)

the second, a mid size piece: plaster/polystyrene quarry with wax mineral deposits, mining structures, and wood/paper quartz

there are bags and bags of this at work, and doubtful they’d miss any. and i’d be helping the environment.

Paul Cezanne, Reflets dans l'eau, um 1896
From the Museum Insel Hombroich. I’d never liked Cezanne much before seeing these watercolors.
The museum includes simple and perfect buildings designed by Erwin Heerich. Here is a tour of the grounds.

crayon melted into plaster. the bond is very tight with a smooth finish. crayon is probably no more archival than styrofoam; i guess those are non-issues anyway.
